The 2025 edition of the Badagry to the World Concert was held on Sunday, 21st December, at the Badagry Grammar School (Badagry Stadium), drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd of music lovers from within and outside the division.
The event recorded impressive guest attendance, with fans filling the venue from the early hours and staying through the night to enjoy a lineup of live performances that kept the atmosphere energetic till dawn.
Host artiste Scope emerged as the star of the night, delivering a high-energy performance that resonated strongly with the audience. Despite challenges associated with limited sponsorship, the artiste did not allow the situation to affect his delivery, giving his best on stage and earning loud cheers from fans. Danny S also thrilled the crowd with an electrifying performance that stood out as one of the highlights of the concert.
Several other artistes and DJs took turns to entertain the audience, as fans danced, sang along and expressed satisfaction with the quality of performances throughout the night.
The concert was graced by notable guests, including the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Hon. Bonu Solomon, whose presence added significance to the event.
Speaking during the event, the artistes bemoaned the challenge of inadequate sponsorship for creative and cultural programmes, noting that such limitations often affect planning and execution. They, however, expressed optimism, stating that with stronger support from government and the private sector, the Badagry to the World Concert could grow into a much bigger platform in subsequent editions.
Organisers and performers alike reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the concert, describing it as a cultural and entertainment platform aimed at projecting Badagry’s talent and creative energy to a wider audience.
