In preparation for the highly anticipated Badagry to the World Concert 2025, artist and songwriter Babatunde Babalola, popularly known as Scope “Scope The Entertainer” paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development.
During the meeting, Scope—who is also the founder and convener of the Badagry to the World Homecoming Concert—briefed the Commissioner on the vision for the 2025 edition. Discussions focused on youth-oriented initiatives, cultural promotion, community impact, and possible areas of collaboration with the Ministry to ensure a successful and impactful event.

The Commissioner commended the initiative, noting its significance in empowering young creatives, boosting tourism, and showcasing Badagry’s rich cultural heritage to a global audience. He also expressed the Ministry’s willingness to explore collaborative opportunities that align with youth development and community upliftment. During our engagement, we discussed key plans for this year’s Scope also had the privilege of meeting the Director of LASKADA as part of our preparations and partnership conversations.

The visit forms part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening partnerships and securing institutional support for the annual homecoming concert. We officially present the invitation for the 2025 edition of our annual concert, holding on Sunday December 21st, 2025 in Badagry Grammar School, Stadium ground Badagry.

The Commissioner applauded the concert’s impact on youth empowerment and tourism promotion, expressing openness to further partnership. With growing interest and increasing community involvement, the 2025 edition promises to elevate Badagry’s creative and cultural presence on a larger scale.
